Carlos is a 15+ year business professional with 5+ years in the investment banking and private equity industry. Prior to founding Alazan in 2023, Carlos built an investment and advisory career over the prior 5 years in Houston, TX.

Carlos worked as a Vice President in the Private Equity Group at Ares Management, a leading global alternative investment manager, and in the Energy Investment Banking Group at Citi, where he focused on acquisitions and divestitures in the Energy & Renewables sector.

Previously, Carlos spent 10 years with Noble Corporation, most recently serving as Asset Manager responsible for overseeing the company’s global exploration assets. While at Noble, Carlos spent time in Asia, Europe, Africa, and South America where he managed several multi-million dollar projects.

Carlos holds an MBA from the McCombs School of Business at the University of Texas at Austin and a B.B.A. from the University of Texas Permian Basin in Business Management.

Carlos is an active member of the Hispanic community and volunteers his time mentoring and advising underprivileged students.
